Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery as needed. Oversees building maintenance and schedules subcontractors as appropriate.

The Maintenance Mechanic works primarily in a manufacturing environment, and services a variety of machines and equipment. The position involves frequent lifting, awkward body positioning to service equipment at times, and standing through most of the shift.  Attention to detail and a methodical approach to safety are critical in this position. The Maintenance Mechanic must work efficiently, and documentation of their efforts is essential. Regular attendance is required, and some overtime is to be expected. 

• Two (2) year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance.
• Three to five years experience in the maintenance of CNC machines.
• Working knowledge of industrial electricity, electronics, HVAC, and facility maintenance.
• Completion of OSHA Electrical Safety training. (If not already certified, must complete within one year.)
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to move, lift and/or push up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
• Physical ability to walk/stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift, in increments of up to six (6) hours.
• Ability to effectively and safely use a wide variety of hand tools, wrenches, files, and various small tools associated with maintenance/repair work.
• Basic computer proficiency, including data entry skills and familiarity with various software programs.
• Adequate eyesight with or without corrective lenses (safety glasses are required) to perform required work with necessary attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively schedule and monitor sub-contract vendors performing work in facility.
